The Jordan Horn Story

Our association with Jordan Horn began when she was 16 
and a baby sitter for our children, Josey and Jack.  She soon became a close family friend and a 'big sister' for Josey and Jack.  

Jordan watched our kids in the summer while my wife Lisa 
and I worked.   Jordan said she preferred watching the kids to working at a fast food restaurant or some other typical mundane high school summer job. 

Instead of putting the kids in front of the TV with a movie she would take  them to the park to feed the geese, have picnics, make fairy houses or other creative activities.  

Jordan and I would often chat about a variety of topics from politics to music to picking colleges.  However, her real passion was for the environment.  

Jordan was adamant that she, in her own way, would change the world and make it a better place. 

After she graduated from Marian Central High School, she attended Beloit College. Tragically, on February 4th, 2007, during her sophomore year at college, Jordan was killed in a car accident on her way back to Beloit College.  

In her short life Jordan made a life long impression on the Brown family as well as many others.  Her passion for improving the environment and making the world a better place was contagious.  

It is in her honor that we named our company Jordan Green Homes to continue her ideals and make the world a better place.
